职位描述:
Major Responsibilities:
1. Assist in improving/streamlining UBR/MB legal related policies, procedures, trainings and team member involvement activities, and implementation of contracting policy and compliance processes. Understand and actively assist in RFP/contract management, drafting, reviewing and translation. Able to effectively communicate with other departments (including business departments and other supporting departments) to seek cross-function collaboration by following UBR/MB policy and under the guidance of the supervisor;
2. Conduct legal research by using legal databases, internet and public record databases and assist in drafting/translation of internal advice on business and regulatory requirement related matters. Assist attorneys in legal research. Assist attorneys in advising business clients regarding day-to-day operational related legal matters including marketing (including digital marketing and traditional marketing), sponsorship, content production, sales (direct sales and channel sales), PR, commercial IP and IP infringement, data privacy, commercial lease management, food and beverage operations, merchandise buying and operation, IT, etc. Conduct content review for promotional materials and assets from PRC law and commercial IP perspective, terms and conditions review for products and marketing campaigns. Assist with IP clearance. Conduct nomenclature review from MB legal end;
3. On needed-basis, work with other legal team members to develop and maintain reports, databases, legal files as appropriate and required, both online and offline. May also need to follow up on law firm bills;
4. Assist with other attorneys for regular catch-up with UDX legal department;
5. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Proven capability to lead and drive change in a corporate environment.
2. Strong written, verbal communication in both English and Chinese, and interpersonal skills.
3. Strong prioritization and time management skills.
4. Must be a self-starter capable of working with various elements within a diverse organization to provide the highest level of service.
5. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.
6. Integrity, honesty and trust and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality are also imperative to this role.
7. Minimum of five-year post-law school experience, as paralegal/legal assistant/junior associate/associate, preferably with reputable law firm or multinational company’s legal department.
8. Good skills in legal research and good communication skills are required.
Experience in using English as a working language.
9. Sound business judgment, and flexibility/adaptability to manage multiple wide-ranging matters, conflicting deadlines, and new areas of expertise as business needs change.
10. Proven ability and commitment to work both independently and collaboratively with numerous people at all levels throughout the company.
11. Demonstrated ability, in a positive, commercial and practical manner, to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
12. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as Internet and web-based training tools.
Education:
Bachelor in Law or above legal degree is required from a reputable Chinese or international law school; Systematic education/training with degree or adequate certificate in English is preferred.
Certifications:
Qualification for Chinese Bar (having passed the National Bar Exam of China) or bar of a major foreign jurisdiction (for example US, UK) is mandatory.
